Usage and common types of battery
We can find batteries everywhere in our daily life nowadays.
It’s powering up our electric device such as your mobile phone, electric car, or even in the wireless earphone that you are using right now.
It comes with different shapes and forms, and there are different types of batteries as well.

A battery can be divided into two categories. Primary and secondary.
Primary batteries are disposable batteries, which means that you use it once and threw it away.
Secondary batteries, on the other hand, are batteries that can be discharged and recharged many times.

Out of this category, we can also separate a battery into three main types: wet-cell, dry-cell non-rechargeable, and dry-cell rechargeable.
The biggest difference between wet and dry cells is that wet cell battery has a liquid electrolyte, while dry cell battery uses a paste electrolyte, which is only moist enough for currents to flow through.

Common types of wet cells are lead-acid batteries that we use to power up vehicles.
For dry-cell non-rechargeable, these are the most common type of battery that we can find in our home, at places such as clocks or flashlight we can find Alkaline battery. For dry-cell rechargeable, we can find them at places such as our mobile phone, which uses a lithium-ion battery.
