What is a battery?

Here comes the definition!

First of all, what is a battery, you ask? Well, the official definition of battery is:

  • It’s a device that consists of one or more electrochemical cells with external connections. Which will provide power to electrical devices

  • Its essential process is to convert chemical energy directly to electrical energy, which it produces a voltage between their output terminals

There are two terminals in a battery, one positive and one negative terminal. The positive terminal is the cathode and the negative terminal is the anode, which is the source of electrons.
