The first battery invention

The first-ever battery is created in 1800 by a man named Alessandro Volta, who experiment with different metals and liquid, finally produce the first-ever battery that will be known as the voltaic pile.

This battery is consists of copper and zinc disc, and they are separated by fabric soaked in brine.

and many experiments

However, Volta’s battery is not tidy at all. Brine leaked from fabric. So in 1801, a man named William Cruickshank decided to solve this issue by simply lay down the battery on its side.

After that, there are many different designs and experiments for improving the battery between 1802 to 1858. But the issue is that most of the design are either very large, heavy, or cannot be recharged.
