The first-ever rechargeable battery and dry cell
Lead-acid and Zinc-carbon battery
Up until this point, all existing battery would be permanently drain once all chemical reaction are done, and there is no way to recharge them.

And here comes the solution! Presented by Gaston Planté, who invented the first-ever rechargeable battery in 1859. That battery is the lead-acid battery.
Although the design compares with other batteries can be rather heavy and bulky, it can power up multiple circuits. Which is why this design is still being used up until today.

In 1886, the first dry cell battery is also invented by the man call Carl Gassner. He invents a zinc-carbon battery, which uses dry pastes as electrolytes. This is much tougher compare with wet cells because the paste can hold the plate in place. It can also be much smaller than lead-acid.
