Looking towards the future
What can we do?
So now, when we understand that battery technology isn’t all singing and all dancing, but actually come with a lot of environmental impacts that will harm us and the planet that we live on directly, what can we do then?
Well, a lot of the issue is not on the battery itself, rather it is the process of manufacturing it and produce it. The environmental impact highly depends on the efficiency of the battery and the technology that we use to obtain the necessary materials.
Technological advance and future research on new battery materials with higher energy and power densities while reducing the environmental impact can be the solution for our issue here.
Even though this might seems like a tough battle to fight, there is still hope at the end of the tunnel!
