Cell finishing

Aging, EOL testing

Aging

The third stage of cell finishing is aging.

This is a quality assurance step. The characteristics and performance of the cells are monitored for up to three weeks.

A cell first goes through high-temperature aging, and then normal temperature aging.

If the performance stays the same, that means the cells are ready to be delivered to the customer.

EOL tesing

And finally, this is the last stage of cell finishing, which is called EOL (end of the line) testing.

Cells are tested in an EOL testing rig, and they are tested in their shipping state.

Tests such as capacity measurement, pulse test, internal resistance measurement, optical inspection, and leakage tests are done during EOL testing.

Finally, once the test is completed, the battery cells are now ready to be packed and shipped.
